Loryn S.

Loryn is an experienced music educator with more than five years of experience working and volunteering in public school music programs. He earned his Associate of Music from Eastern Arizona College and his Bachelor of Music Education from Southern Utah University. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Loryn has taught and performed on piano, strings, woodwinds, drums, and brass, with a special passion for low brass. He began playing piano at age five and discovered the tuba in sixth grade, an instrument that helped him grow both musically and personally. Throughout high school, he was selected for Honor Band, All-State Honor Band, and the 2011 All-Northwest Honor Band.

Loryn’s musical experience also includes winning first place in a composition competition at North Idaho College, serving as low brass section leader in Eastern Arizona College’s Marching Band, and performing in the Brass Ensemble at Southern Utah University. Along the way, he has studied under accomplished music educators and volunteered with middle school, high school, and honor band programs. As a teacher, Loryn is passionate about helping students build strong musical fundamentals, improve their skills, and develop confidence while having fun. He believes that “practice makes progress” and is excited to share his love of music with students at Musicians Made.
