Austin C.

Austin Colmenares is an Arizona native with a lifelong passion for music. Drawn early to singing and piano—later adding guitar—he truly found his voice in high school, joining advanced and jazz choir as a freshman and serving as a tenor section leader. He has performed across a wide range of genres including classical, jazz (with scat singing), pop, rock, blues, and R&B, and was also the lead vocalist for the pop-rock band SweetSummer, performing both in and out of state with high-energy, expressive stage presence.

With 10 years of voice teaching experience and 5 years teaching piano, Austin brings both structure and creativity to his lessons. He is currently studying Music Education and Composition at Mesa Community College and tailors each lesson to the student’s goals—whether that’s learning songs for fun, developing songwriting skills, or preparing for performances and recitals. Known for his expressive teaching style, Austin focuses on building confidence while maintaining strong foundations in technique, theory, and musicality. Outside of teaching, he enjoys writing music, gaming, and attending car shows, with a special love for muscle cars.
