Dr. Yifan Zhang, a classical guitarist from Wuhu, China, is an active soloist, chamber musician, and dedicated educator based in Phoenix, United States. Renowned for his expressive artistry and commitment to expanding the guitar’s repertoire, he seamlessly blends Western classical and Chinese musical traditions.
His musical accomplishments have been recognized with numerous awards, scholarships, and grants. He has performed at prominent venues and festivals, including The Phoenix Symphony, the Phoenix Guitar Society, the Chandler Center for the Arts, and the GFA National Guitar Summit, among others.
As an experienced educator, Dr. Zhang has taught at Arizona State University as a Faculty Associate and Graduate Teaching Assistant, working closely with students across all levels.Dr. Zhang holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University and earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
